I keep returning to the tension at the core of this record: at 122 BPM it should belong to the dancefloor, yet Lem Bertch keeps the pulse buried deep beneath layers of ambient gauze. The 5B key centre gives the drone a bright, almost cinematic sheen, and with energy pinned at nine, the track feels less like a lullaby and more like a pressure chamber slowly tightening. In my sets, I’d use it as a bridge when I want the room to hold its breath—too fierce for the chill-out zone, too diffuse for peak-time, it sits in that uneasy in-between where anticipation becomes its own rhythm. It is ambient music with the gain pushed into the red, demanding you lean in rather than drift away.
